Calvin Park Branch

Cataraqui Room

Ages 9-12. Register to attend five days of a music and reading hybrid program. Half hour beginner ukulele instruction included! Ukuleles available for borrowing, or bring your own.

Participants will spend a half hour exploring and reading books in the library collection that will count toward their TD Summer Reading Club Notebook. Spend the second half hour exploring music on the ukulele. Together, these combined activities stimulate multiple areas of the developing brain.

Ukuleles will be available for checkout at the first session. There are right or left handed ukuleles available, or bring your own!

Due to the limited time available, participants must be able to commit to signing in promptly each day, to attending each of the four sessions, and to returning any library-owned ukuleles at the last session- Friday, August 2.

Caregivers of children under the age of 7 must remain in the program space; caregivers of children ages 7-9 must remain in the library during the program. Thank you.
