Learn to build an affordable assistive writing aid this week!
Keep an eye out for future Make It Happen events (3D printing, photography, bicycle maintenance, wood repairs, beading) happening Tuesdays throughout the summer.
A limited number of spaces are available so that we may provide more support to each participant and ensure enough space. If registration is full, please join the waitlist.
Makers Making Change (MMC) will be joining the Kingston Public Library to host the first of six Make It Happen events to build an affordable assistive writing aid. MMC is part of the Neil Squire Society, a Canadian not for profit organization which uses technology, knowledge, and passion to empower Canadians with disabilities. Participants will learn about the Neil Squire Society and MMC, designing affordable, open-source assistive technology, and will get the chance to assemble the Pen Ball writing aid. All devices assembled will be donated to Canadians who need them.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.
