Calvin Park Branch

The Friends of the Library Community Meeting Room

Opening for an elementary class (K-6) visit at the Calvin Park Branch. Please register and a staff member will contact you for more details.

This booking is for an elementary class (K-6) in the Kingston catchment. For Frontenac school requests, high schools, daycares, and/or other groups, please use the Group Visit Form to book your visit.

A maximum of two classes from the same school (example two JK classes) can book the same timeslot.

Once this timeslot is booked, a programmer will connect with you to arrange for library card sign-ups and to tailor the visit for the age group. We will require: school name, ages in group, and teacher(s) name.

A typical class visit lasts approximately one hour, divided into 2 half hour segments. Half an hour will be spent participating in library activities and half an hour for students to tour the junior section and check out materials.

Each class is invited to book one staff-led visit each school year, and is encouraged to return independently for research and/or book selection.

REMINDER: DELETE THIS BLURB

Openings would become available on the 1st of the month prior, so September 1 would open up spots for October and so on.  Teachers would reserve the spot, and the programmer would contact them to further find out the details and arrange for library card sign-ups. The opening will close the two weeks prior to ensure there’s enough time to obtain cards.   When visit is sorted and booked, please add (Booked) in the program title.  For privacy reasons, do not add the school name as the record shows up in the public calendar.

Click registration yes, maximum registrants 1 (1 class) open registration on a certain date (first of the month), and closes 14 days before event.
