Meeting Room 1

For ages 14 and up. Create your own beautiful woollen butterfly brooch in this beginner-friendly needle-felting workshop with Kingston artist Po Chapman.

Participants will learn how to safely use felting needles, shape wool, blend colours, and add fine details to bring a butterfly design to life. Step-by-step guidance makes this workshop ideal for those who are new—or fairly new—to needle felting. By the end, you’ll leave wearing your own handmade felted brooch: a cheerful, colourful piece of artwork you can proudly share with friends and family.
Po’s workshops focus on creativity, encouragement, and personal empowerment. You’ll enjoy a relaxed, friendly environment where participants learn together, chat, laugh, and experience the simple joy of making something by hand. All materials are provided. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and a sense of fun!
