Following Family Storytime, join local artist and author, Jane Kirby, in a workshop about her upcoming book, "K is for Kingston, K is for Katarokwi".
K is for Kingston, K is for Katarokwi is a forthcoming Kingston-themed ABC book, illustrated by local artists. A community engagement process is being planned to help brainstorm ideas for the places, wildlife, events, etc. to be included to ensure the project reflects diverse Kingston experience. Participants in workshops will contribute to a brainstorming process and design their own letter book "page" to take home. All ages are encouraged to participate. The project was a 2025 recipient of a City of Kingston Arts Fund grant.
