Solarpunk Writing Lab

A four-part writing workshop for ages 11–15 exploring solarpunk through creative prompts, discussion, and supportive peer feedback.

Solarpunk is an imaginative genre that envisions hopeful, sustainable futures where communities, technology, and the natural world exist in balance. In this four-part writing workshop series, participants ages 11–15 will explore solarpunk and speculative fiction through creative prompts, discussion, and collaborative learning.

Each session focuses on a different solarpunk theme and includes short writing exercises designed to spark ideas and encourage experimentation. The final portion of each session will be dedicated to sharing work in a supportive environment, where participants can read aloud and receive encouraging, constructive feedback from peer mentors who are past winners of Youth Imagine the Future’s writing program.

Whether you’re new to writing or already love storytelling, the Solarpunk Writing Lab offers a welcoming space to imagine new possibilities and grow your creative voice.
