Come and learn about the ethical issues of MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) with David Campbell, PhD, Ethicist from Kingston Health Sciences Centre.

In this presentation KHSC Ethicist David Campbell will explain the legislation which legalized Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), analyze the ethical arguments for and against extending MAID for mental illness, and explore possible future developments in MAID. He will conclude by providing data on MAID and stress the importance of having a proper perspective on this end-of-life option.

Explore a wide variety of topics in this speakers' series for Older Adults. Following each session, at 3:30 PM, Compassionate Communities Kingston will facilitate an informal Talking Café. Participants are invited to stay and socialize.
