For ages 5 and up. The Players come across a strange object they call a "Thing" and have to figure out what it does. Join us in the Lions Civic Gardens, indoors with tickets in case of rain/heat.
Bring your own lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the performance! An accessible drop off area is available at the top of the park, using the road behind Isabel Turner Library, 935 Gardiners Rd.
In What IS That Thing?, the Barefoot Players come across a strange object they call a "Thing." None of them has any idea what it is or what it does, so they try to figure out what to do with it by telling each other stories. Together, they must learn how to care for it as a group, applying lessons learned from traditional and Indigenous stories from all around the world.
If rain, the performance will be moved inside the Isabel Turner branch. The performance will also be moved if temperatures (or the humidex) surpass 36°C or an air quality advisory has been issued. In that case free tickets will be available 1/2 hour before show time, limit of 6 tickets per person.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
