The Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) administers and enforces Ontario's Retirement Homes Act. If you live in, or are choosing, a retirement home come learn how the RHRA can help.

The RHRA is an independent, self-funded, not-for-profit corporation, committed to the protection and well-being of seniors living in retirement homes.  Its mandate is to ensure retirement home residents live in dignity and have the support and knowledge needed to make informed choices about their care options.

The RHRA licenses and inspects retirement homes in Ontario and monitors their adherence to care and safety standards. It responds to complaints and closes homes that are not in compliance.  Learning more about the RHRA can help you and your family make decisions about retirement living.

This program requires registration.
