PhD candidate Leif Simmatis talks about research into artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, including successes and failures of AI in health care. The third in our new monthly Brain Storm series.

Learn about the current state of the art in artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine.  Leif will provide an overview of AI principles, followed by examples of the successes and failures of AI in medicine.  He will finish with a brief discussion of ethical and legal considerations that will shape future research.

This is the third of our new monthly Brain Storm series of talks by students from Queen's Centre for Neuroscience Studies.  The April presentation, at 2 PM on Friday April 17 at the Central branch, will be Cures for Canadians: Bringing New Drugs to the Canadian Market.  Visit https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/4128668 for details and to register for that talk.
