KFPL and the Juvenis Festival (April 29-May 7, 2017) presents a night of movie magic, featuring the return of Rapid Reel, the 48 Film Competition and KFPL Youth Shorts!
KFPL Youth Shorts is a festival of films by Kingston and Frontenac Youth juried by KFPL's Teen Advisory Group. Submit and see your work at a real movie theatre for all of your friends and family to enjoy. Submission guidelines are available here!
Rapid Reel is a 48 Hour Film Challenge that requires teams of youth to write, film, and edit a short movie in only 48 hours! We give you a prop, line from a famous film, and a genre and you make it into an unforgettable film. Movies must be filmed using a phone or tablet device. Submitted films will be screened at the Juvy’s Movies event on May 1 and will be judged by the audience and a panel of guest judges from the film industry who will decide the winner of an exciting top prize.
