This venerable Kingston organization stays relevant by focussing on the preservation of wildlife and natural habitats, stimulating people’s interest in nature, and by operating two nature reserves.
Whether you are enamoured by birds or salamanders, plants growing in your local park, or identifying animal tracks in the backwoods, the Kingston Field Naturalists is a club for learning and sharing interest and respect for nature. This year is KFN’s 70th anniversary of being a club in Kingston. Come out to see what we have to offer, from books by past guest speakers to rambles and field trips through the seasons. We will even have some bird skins so that you can see some of the diversity in the Kingston region. We will also show a 5 minute video on the wildlife ‘captured’ on one of the KFN’s properties leading up to our annual Bioblitz in early June. There is something of interest for everyone, from young (Junior Naturalists and Teen Naturalists) to our main membership of approximately 500 adults.
This program requires registration.
Please note that this is the registration page for the second of two identical talks, at 2 PM on Saturday April 25 at the Central branch. To register for the first talk, at 7 PM on Tuesday April 7 at the Isabel Turner branch, please visit https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/4145038
