In this short seminar, Registered Social Worker Kate Rooney will present a number of tips and strategies to help teens cope with stress and anxiety during these challenging times.
Attendees will learn the differences between stress and anxiety, how cognitive behavioural therapy can be be useful, and some coping strategies for managing negative emotions, unhelpful thinking habits, and an overview of helpful coping skills. The presentation is designed to be general, and local mental health resources will be recommended for anyone who wants additional information/support.
This interactive online program will be held on Zoom. Registration will close four hours prior to the event, and registrants will be sent the link at least one hour prior to the start time. It is recommended that participants download Zoom in advance.
