Wealth advisor Laura Southall shows how women can make smart decisions about money for themselves and their families. The first of four talks, to take you from the basics to retirement, and beyond.

Trying to understand what to do with your money can seem like a mystery.  But if you educate yourself it becomes far less daunting.  Do you need answers to any of the following questions?

  • What is a TFSA and how do I use one?
  • Are RRSPs really a good idea?
  • Saving for retirement seems so overwhelming.  How much should I be saving?
  • What is the best investment option for me?  GICs?  Mutual Funds?  My bank account?
  • I want my children to go to university.  How much will it cost?  What is the best way to save for that?

This 90-minute seminar from Melissa Baker-Cox and Laura Southall, Senior Wealth Advisor at Assante Financial Management Ltd, will give you the answers to these questions and more.  You’ll be armed with the knowledge to create a secure financial future for yourself and your family.

Watch for the next presentation, on Tuesday October 5: Getting Ready to Retire.  Details and registration to be announced in September.

This interactive online presentation will be held on Zoom.  Registrants will be emailed the link immediately upon registration.  (Please check your Junk and Spam folders right away if you don't see the confirmation email and link in your Inbox, then adjust your settings to make sure emails from KFPL aren't blocked.  You can also access event links by scrolling over the calendar icon at the top of the main page of our website and signing in to My Events.)

Participants will need to download the latest version of Zoom in advance to the device they’ll be using during the presentation.
