Climate change is a lot. It can make you scared, it can make you rage, it can make you cry. But you don’t have to carry that alone. Join other people in the community in a guided support group for living wisely in these unprecedented times. The Kingston Climate Feelings circle is a space where we will learn about emotional responses to the climate crisis, and support each other in that learning. We will read meaningful work on the climate crisis (All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis, edited by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine Wilkinson) and discuss it in a positive, encouraging space. (The library's Book Club Set has been reserved for the Circle's participants.) Enrollment is limited to 12 people for this inaugural 5-session gathering, though we hope to offer this opportunity again in the near future.
Please complete the Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment screening before attending the program, thank you! Please remember that all participants ages 2 and up must wear a mask throughout the program and while visiting the library. You will be asked to check-in on your arrival.
The Climate Feelings Circle will meet every three weeks, on the following dates:
