Graduates of the Uke Can Do It workshop have an opportunity to meet outdoors at the Lions Civic Garden behind the Isabel Turner branch, to learn and play a new beginner level song each month.
For those who have completed the Uke Can Do It workshop, or have previous ukulele experience. Outdoor session to take place in the Lions Civic Gardens behind the Isabel Turner branch.
Per the provincial regulations around outdoor gatherings, attendees will need to practice social distancing and to wear a mask or face covering in a manner that covers their face, nose and chin when they are within two metres of another individual who is not part of their household. Although the session will be held under a tree, participants should dress appropriately (eg a hat and sunscreen) and bring their own water. Each musician will be asked to supply a lawn chair to sit on and something to serve as a music stand (eg a second lawn chair). Sheet music, and resource links will be provided via email before the event. There will be two backup library ukuleles available. In case of inclement weather (ie rain, or if the temperature or humidex surpasses 36°C, or if an air quality advisory has been issued), the outdoor jam session will be cancelled and participants will be notified. Unfortunately we aren't currently able to reschedule the session for a later date.
