Calvin Park Branch

The Friends of the Library Community Meeting Room

For teens. Climate change is one of the most pressing global issues of our time. Join KFPL as a teen volunteer for the Kingston Youth Climate Council.

As a member of the KYCC, you will help design, execute, and lead a process of climate education, connection, empowerment, and action that will engage youth in Kingston.

This program will be hosted by Jeremy Milloy, Lead, Integrity of Creation and Climate Change at CHSO.

As a volunteer, you will be responsible for reading assigned materials and participating in discussions. You will work with other volunteers to plan events and resources that will engage other youth in climate education.

You will get to meet new people, connect with nature, give back to your community, and develop your skills as a leader.

Applications for new members are due by September 12. Visit KFPL's volunteer page for more information.

For more information, please contact Kristen Lemay, Acting Manager, Programming and Outreach (klemay@kfpl.ca).
