Zoom A

Learn about Indigenous history and contemporary perspectives. Register for Indigenous Canada, a 12-lesson course, then connect in KFPL’s weekly discussions Feb. 16 - Mar 23 and April 13 - May 18.

This program aims to provide a thorough knowledge of Indigenous historical experiences, current issues and cultural awareness for the general population. KFPL registration is limited to twenty participants. See here for course information and free registration.

Participants will take each lesson before each Thursday's discussion session.

The Indigenous Canada course is offered through the University of Alberta.

The moderator will review each lesson with all registrants. Afterwards, breakout groups will form to discuss assigned questions related to the lesson. Everybody will reconvene to discuss their findings and suggest how the library can meet their future research needs.

Participant Conduct Statement

This program is intended to encourage safe, robust and healthy discussions about course content. All participants must acknowledge a diversity of opinion, while being mindful of problematic language or terms sometimes employed (intentionally or not) while discussing these topics. Antagonistic behaviour will not be tolerated to ensure a safe discussion space. Participants must agree to these terms prior to registering.
