Join Dr. Stanka Fitneva for a talk on language development and heritage.

Join Dr. Fitneva of the Child and Adolescent Development Research Group at Queen’s University for a talk on language development, with a focus on maintaining or passing on a heritage language to children. The talk will address questions parents often have about bilingualism. For example, does learning a language affect already known languages? Are there benefits of bilingualism? In a society where success seems to speak English what can families and communities do to affirm cultural connections?

This session will be online via Zoom.
