Join Service Canada for an overview of key programs, services, and benefits, with a focus on how older adults can access them. This event is followed by a Talking Café with refreshments.
Delivered through the Community Outreach and Liaison Service (COLS), these sessions are designed to bring services directly into communities and support individuals who may face barriers to accessing government programs.
Participants will learn how to navigate a range of services, including Social Insurance Numbers, Employment Insurance, the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, and other federal benefits.
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Service Canada representative to review their personal information. Please bring your Social Insurance Number and a piece of government issued identification, if you would like to take part in this one-on-one support.
Explore a wide variety of topics in this speakers' series for Older Adults. Following each session, at 3:00 PM, Compassionate Communities Kingston will facilitate an informal Talking Café. Participants are invited to stay and socialize.
