Dr. Lindsay Morcom will share insights on Indigenous language revitalization, followed by a catered dinner and film screenings, kicking off a two-day celebration of Indigenous languages.
Children are welcome to attend with their families and caregivers.
This event is part of the Preserving Our Languages for the Next Seven Generations symposium hosted by Queen's University, the Kingston Indigenous Language Nest and the Kingston Frontenac Public Library. Everyone is welcome.
This event will continue on Saturday with a sunrise ceremony at Breakwater Park at 6:45am, followed by discussion panels, talking circles and language workshops from 9:00am - 4:30pm at Robert Sutherland Hall, room 202.
