Uncertainty is often unsettling. We each react to it differently, but it's safe to say that we usually find it stressful. However, there are tools we can use to help manage that stress.

The COVID-19 pandemic has meant an increase in stress for all of us, particularly as we entered the most recent lockdown and began to experience increased isolation.

This one hour program will look at the stressors that the pandemic has brought our way, how stress affects us, and at specific tools to help manage the stress and support ourselves during this time. Tools will be adaptable for adults and the children in your lives. There will be time for questions at the end.

Angie Wellman is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She has a private practice in Belleville, working with individuals with stress, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. You can find out more about her and access her resources at www.wellmanwellness.org or at www.facebook.com/wellmanwellness

This program will be held on Zoom. Registrants will be emailed the Zoom link immediately upon registration.  Participants will need to download the latest version of Zoom in advance to the device they’ll be using during the presentation.

Please note that this is the second of two identical presentations.  It is a repeat of the one offered at 2 p.m. on Thursday February 4.  You may register for that first second session at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/4841564 . Space is limited, so please register for only one of the two sessions.

If you don't yet have a KFPL membership or if you need to renew one, please visit our Getting a Library Card page.
