Grownup Storytime is back, but temporarily outdoors (weather permitting) for July. Relax and listen to a couple of short readings -- short stories, essays, articles, and excerpts.

While we will continue to hold a virtual session on Zoom from noon until 1 PM each Monday in July, we will also offer this identical outdoor session (weather permitting) from 1:30 to 2:30 PM on the outdoor porch at the back of the Sydenham branch.  The same excerpts offered earlier at the virtual session will be read again at the outdoor session.

If the outdoor session is cancelled due to rain, because the temperature or humidex surpasses 36°C, or if an air quality advisory has been issued, we will email registrants on Monday morning after 10 AM.

If you are interested in attending the outdoor session, but would like to be able to attend the online version in case of rain, please register for this series using the link above as well as for the Zoom version (using the link at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/5167576)

Per the provincial regulations around outdoor gatherings under Step 2 of reopening, attendees will need to wear a mask or face covering in a manner that covers their face, nose and chin when they are within two metres of another individual who is not part of their household.  There will be openings for ten participants.  Seating will be provided.

The excerpts read at each week’s later outdoor session will be identical to those read at the earlier virtual session.
