Are you a writer 18 or older who is already working on a writing project, or who is ready to start one? If you're interested in meeting with a small group of other writers to share your work and to give and receive constructive criticism and helpful suggestions, you're most welcome to attend.
On the second Thursday of each month award-winning author Jean Rae Baxter [(http://www.jeanraebaxter.ca/] hosts a session for a small group of writers from 2 until 4 p.m. In order to allow equal time for sharing only eight (8) spaces will be available each month, and participants are asked to limit the size of the piece shared to one which can be read in eight minutes.
During the pandemic the Write On group met monthly online through Zoom, but on July 8 the meeting will take place outdoors on the porch behind the Sydenham branch (weather permitting). Per the provincial regulations around outdoor gatherings under Step 2 of reopening, each participant will need to wear a mask or face covering in a manner that covers their face, nose and chin when they are within two metres of another individual who is not part of their household. Seating will be provided.
If the outdoor session is cancelled due to rain, or because the temperature or humidex surpasses 36°C, or because an air quality advisory has been issued, we will email all registrants on Monday morning at approximately 11 AM with a Zoom link for a 90-minute online meeting. The online meeting will run from 2 PM until 3:30 PM.

Please note that this is the registration page only for the Thursday July 8 meeting; registration for the Thursday September 9 session will open at 9 AM on Saturday September 4, at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/5059907. There will be no meeting in August.
