Write On continues online through Zoom. Jean Rae Baxter hosts a monthly meeting of area writers 18 and older. Share your work and exchange constructive criticism and helpful suggestions. Limited space

Are you a writer 18 or older who is already working on a writing project, or who is ready to start one? If you're interested in meeting online with a small group of other writers to share your work and to give and receive constructive criticism and helpful suggestions, you're most welcome to attend.

On the second Thursday of each month award-winning author Jean Rae Baxter hosts a session for a small group of writers through Zoom from 2 until 3:30 p.m.   In order to allow equal time for sharing only eight (8) spaces will be available each month, and participants are asked to limit the size of the piece shared to one which can be read in eight minutes.

You may come as often as you like, but you must register separately for each monthly meeting. Registration for each month will open at 9 a.m. on the Saturday immediately before each meeting.

Please note that while we have scheduled this virtual session on Zoom, on July 8 we will attempt an outdoor session (weather permitting) from 2 until 4 PM on the outdoor porch behind the Sydenham branch.  If the outdoor session must be cancelled due to rain, or because the temperature or humidex surpasses 36°C, or if an air quality advisory has been issued, we will email registrants on Thursday morning at approximately 11 AM with the Zoom link for a 90-minute online meeting.

If you are interested in attending the outdoor session, but would like to be able to attend the online version in case of rain, please register for this online version (using the link above), AS WELL AS for the outdoor version (using the link at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/5327512).

The interactive online program will be held on Zoom. Registration will close four hours prior to the event, and participants will be sent the link immediately upon registration. Attendees will need to download the most recent Zoom software in advance to the device which they'll be using during the meeting.

Please note that this is the registration page only for the Thursday July 8 meeting; registration for the Thursday September 16 session will open at 9 AM on Saturday September 11, at https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/5407024.  There will be no meeting in August.
