Explore the diversity in human perceptual systems with Matthew Jacobs of the Queen's Centre for Neuroscience Studies.

Matthew Jacobs of the Queen's Centre for Neuroscience Studies gives a basic introduction to cognitive perception and then explores the diversity in human perceptual systems. You'll enjoy illusions, fascinating research, advocacy, and even a little philosophy.

Matt worked in an organization called Open Minds, Silicon Valley where he collaborated with neurodivergent self-advocates on a mission to make education to more accessible for all. Graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz with a BA in Cognitive Science and a minor in computer science, Matt worked in the High Level Perception Lab under Professor Nicolas Davidenko. Currently, Matt is working under Professor Stephen H. Scott where he researches sensorimotor systems.
