Join KFPL and the Chinese Canadian Association of Kingston and District (CCAKD) for an afternoon of Lunar New Year festivities!


The festivities will kick off with a tour of the Library starting at the Create Space. At the end of the tour, patrons will be met by dancers performing the traditional Lion Dance. They will guide visitors upstairs to Meet 1 to enjoy a variety of dance and musical performances as well as Tai Chi and Kung Fu demonstrations.

Additional activities include:

  • Lunar New Year Family Storytime in the Gather Space at 2 p.m.
  • Sample refreshments throughout the day in Meet 2.
  • Children's face painting inspired by Spring Festival symbols in Meet 3, and so much more!

This event is in partnership with the Chinese Canadian Association of Kingston and District and sponsored by the Friends of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.

No registration is required.
