How does the climate crisis affect your life, and the lives of others in our area? Come share thoughts and feelings about the climate emergency in our community in the first of two workshops.

Last year, Kingston becme the first city in Ontario to declare a climate emergency. COVID-19 has grabbed the headlines, but wildfires and floods around the world underline that the climate crisis has not gone anywhere. This workshop will give Kingston residents an opportunity to share thoughts and feelings about the climate emergency in our community. How does the climate crisis affect your life? Your family and friends? Your neighbourhood? The land, air, and water around you? By sharing our perspective, we can move out of isolation on climate and open ourselves to meaningful responses that enrich our lives and our community.

This interactive online program will be held on Zoom. Registration will close four hours prior to the event, and registrants will be sent the link at least one hour prior to the start time. It is recommended that participants download Zoom in advance.

This is the first of two workshops on the climate emergency.  It will be followed on Thursday, November 12 at 6:30 PM by Climate Emergency Workshop 2: What Can We Do?.  For details and to register for the November 12 workshop please visit https://calendar.kfpl.ca/event/4628374; if you wish to participate in both workshops make sure to register separately for each.
